The One Chicago series aired the penultimate episodes of this season on Wednesday, so let’s take a closer look at the TV ratings they earned this week.
The two numbers gave Chicago Med second place in both the key demo and total viewers out of the 11 shows that aired on broadcast TV this Wednesday.
If you’ve been following along, then it’s no surprise that this kept Chicago Fire as the most viewed broadcast TV program this week; it was already on top of the rankings last week with a lower live audience, so there was no reason for that to change.
The show maintained its 1.0 share when specifically looking at the adults 18-49 demographic; it tied for third place within that category.
Chicago PD also picked up a tenth among the key demo to go from 0.9 to 1.0; it was fourth among total viewers and third in the demo category.
However, it’s worth noting that it had some softer competition this week—the Survivor reunion on CBS had a 4.6 million haul, but ABC went with the already cancelled Whiskey Cavalier at 10 p.m. and FOX had the local news.
As the One Chicago franchise approaches the end of its season, live viewership naturally should tick up because the shows introduce bigger plot twists and potential cliffhangers that people want to see. Especially with Chicago PD doing one last Antonio Dawson episode, it’s no surprise that it brought in more viewers. Now what will the finales draw?
